Jack Earl Ricks, 85, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Adrian, GA on October 12, 1924 to the late Horace and Ida Ricks. He was the owner of Jack Ricks Glass Company since 1968. He was also in the glass business with his brother and sister prior to opening his own business. He attended Thunderbolt Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church.
Jack is survived by his sons, Donnie L. Ricks and his wife, Marcia, of Savannah and Gerald David Ricks, of Canada, his brothers, R.J. Ricks, of Savannah, and Clyde Ricks, of Adrian, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Lauren, Leslie, Jason, Courtney, Joseph, and Charlie, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Pastor Angela Abraham officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
